Metering devices for oil-air lubrication

Mixing valves mix a metered volume of oil with the air flow to produce an oil-air mixture. They are installed in the compressed air line leading to the delivery point. Along with fixed metering valves, there are also distributors with adjustable metering valves, which provide separate flow control. Distributors with metering valves are used in flow-through and circulation lubrication systems.

Mixing valves without integrated metering device

If there is no space for direct installation of a mixing head, the mixing valve can be inserted directly into the compressed air line as close as possible to the supply point. A branch point for multiple supply points is possible. 
To supply oil to a mixing valve without an integrated metering device, a piston metering distributor, an intermittently operating single-line lubrication system, or an oil nozzle is required.

Mixing valves with integrated metering device

Unlike mixing valves without integrated metering devices, these valves are equipped with a built-in piston distributor that meters the oil. The mixing valve's oil connector must be connected directly to the main line of a single-line centralized lubrication system, without an intermediate connection to an additional piston distributor. The required oil quantity can be selected using interchangeable metering nipples.
