Lubricant analysis is a crucial part of a predictive maintenance strategy. However, until now, this has been almost exclusively limited to liquid oils, despite the fact that approximately 80% of % bearings are lubricated with greases. Experience in tribology and years of research have enabled SKF to develop a comprehensive methodology for assessing grease condition.
