Elevator Lubrication Kits: Reduce Vibration and Reduce Maintenance

Reduced vibration and reduced maintenance requirements

Insufficient lubrication of elevator guide rails causes vibration, which in turn generates unpleasant noise, leads to operational interruptions, and increases maintenance costs. Standard lubrication methods for elevator equipment do not provide the required level of lubricant supply. This results in leaks and splashes of lubricant, which accumulate in the shafts.

SKF SYSTEM 24 elevator lubrication kits offer greater efficiency than conventional methods using oil tanks and capillary tube systems. These SKF kits are suitable for use in residential and office buildings, hospitals, hotels, shopping centers, and subways.

  • Proper lubrication reduces wear, noise and vibration.
  • Fewer service calls due to planned and unplanned downtime
  • Improving the cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces and elevator shafts
  • Safe and environmentally friendly, no oil leaks, easy disposal

Setting the lubrication time
The system can be configured to supply lubricant at intervals ranging from 1 to 12 months, according to individual requirements. The appropriate setting is best determined by the condition of the oil film on the rail during operation. Under conditions of heavy contamination, high temperatures, and frequent elevator use, the average system drain time is 3 to 6 months. Under normal conditions, the lubricant is consumed within 6 to 12 months.
