How TailScrape Works
Like the AirScrape®, the TailScrape is a tail conveyor blade operating on the Venturi principle. The intelligent blade structure on the underside creates negative pressure in the conveyor zone. Nothing can escape through the millimeter-sized gap, as the negative pressure allows air to flow in. Dust formation and spills are reduced to 100%. The TailScrape operates without contact with the belt and therefore can be operated continuously without maintenance. When used in conjunction with the AirScrape, the TailScrape significantly saves money and resources.
In addition, the significant reduction in dust and pollution generation meets occupational health and safety and environmental requirements.
Installation
The rear of the transfer uses a metal sheet that conforms to the contour of the belt groove. Ideally, the sheet is installed at a maximum distance of 10 mm from the belt. TailScrape is shortened to the distance between two AirScrapes installed sideways and folded for installation in the groove. TailScrape is secured and adjusted to the sheet using slotted holes and lifting elements, ensuring virtually no gaps or contact with the belt.
