Compressed air, controlled by a 3/2-way valve, actuates the feed piston, which dispenses the appropriate volume of lubricant based on its displacement. The travel distance, and therefore the dispensed volume, is increased or decreased using adjusting rings. The pressure in the compressed air line to the pump must be relieved after each actuation to allow the metering piston to return to its original position.
The micro pump is designed for minimum quantity lubrication and can only be used for systems in which oil is sprayed using compressed air.
