Oil condition detector

Monitors changes in oil condition

The SKF TMEH 1 is a portable instrument that displays real-time data on oil condition, often eliminating the need for lengthy laboratory testing. The instrument allows for the evaluation of changes in the dielectric constant of an oil sample.

Changes in oil condition are assessed by comparing measurement results obtained on fresh and used oil samples. Changes in dielectric properties are directly related to deterioration of the oil's performance and contamination level. The device allows for optimization of oil change intervals, determination of oil contamination levels, and identification of the degree of mechanical wear in the system and any deterioration in oil performance. To facilitate trend analysis, the device is equipped with a digital indicator.

  • Shows changes in oil condition related to:
    • Water content
    • Liquid fuel ingress
    • Content of metal particles
    • Oxidation
  • Compact and easy to use
  • Output of numerical parameters to facilitate trend analysis
  • Possibility to store calibration data in memory (for oil in good condition)

Description

Note: The SKF Oil Check instrument is not intended for laboratory testing. It only detects changes in oil condition. Visual and numerical measurement results are only estimates and are used to track trends in the condition of oils of the same brand and manufacturer. Do not rely solely on numerical measurements.
