Improves material intake and ensures maximum sealing and tightness

The full impact force of bulk material exerts a high load on the belt in the transfer zone, increasing material, energy, and operating costs. To compensate for the load on the belt and maintain sealing in the transfer zone, the density of rollers in the corresponding feed area is usually increased. Depending on the degree of load, this measure can lead to improvements, but it does not completely eliminate belt damage.

The SureSupport system provides support and stability to the belt at the transfer point. This enhances the effectiveness of lateral sealing, aids in dust suppression, and minimizes material leakage.

Performance and transfer points are fully optimized

  • Without belt support

Without adequate belt support, the belt cannot withstand high impact loads. Gradually, the belt begins to wear, hindering transportation function and performance, making it inefficient and costly. Belt sagging may occur, which can lead to occupational health hazards such as dust emissions and material leakage.

  • With SureSupport

SureSupport significantly reduces the impact load on material and supports the belt in its motion. Sliding rails prevent belt damage, and the sealing of the transfer is effectively enhanced through the use of a combined system of curbs and seals.

Ensures the proper movement of the belt and prevents leakage.

SureSupport strengthens the belt and prevents sagging caused by the impact energy of falling/transported materials. It supports the side sealing function and prevents leakage at the transfer point. Specially designed sliding surfaces ensure smooth and straight movement of the belt.

Fully integrates with AirScrape.

SureSupport protects and prevents damage to the belt from falling materials and significantly improves the overall load on the belt. It provides support and guidance for the belt, thus supporting the operation of the AirScrape side sealing. When integrated with SureSupport, AirScrape provides a high-performance dust-free and unique contactless solution for skirting in the material transfer area. Dust and spills don't stand a chance.

TailScrep

Operating Principle of TailScrape

Like AirScrape®, TailScrape is a transfer tail edge operating on the Venturi principle. The intelligent blade structure on the underside creates negative pressure in the transport zone. Nothing can escape through the millimeter gap, as the negative pressure allows air to come in. Dust formation and spillage are reduced to 100%. TailScrape operates without contact with the belt and can therefore be used continuously without maintenance. When used together with AirScrape, TailScrape significantly saves money and resources.
In addition, the significant reduction in dust and pollution meets occupational health and environmental protection requirements.

Installation

A metal sheet is used at the back of the transfer, corresponding to the profile of the belt trough. Ideally, the sheet is installed at a maximum distance of 10 mm from the belt. TailScrape is shortened to the distance between the two AirScrapes installed on the side, and is bent for installation in the trough. TailScrape is fixed and adjusted on the sheet using cut-out holes and lift elements, ensuring virtually no gap or contact with the belt.

Designs and Variants

TailScrape is available in small, medium, and large sizes for all belt width options to match AirScrape variants, and can be installed accurately onto an existing AirScrape, sealing the transition to the bend and preventing dust or spillage.

Advantages and Benefits

  • high efficiency when working with coarse material (no spillage and at the same time a long service life of special plates)
  • high efficiency when working with fine material (dust is retained in the material flow due to air suction)
  • reduces dust generation and explosion risk
  • no contact with the belt and, therefore, no damage to it
  • reduces the load on the drive system (no belt friction)
  • extends the service life of the belt
  • no wear of the skirting due to friction
  • significantly reduces maintenance and replacement costs
  • easy installation
  • no interruption related to AirScrape
  • promotes occupational safety, environmental protection, and health protection

AirScrape

The principle of operation of AirScrape

AirScrape ®is a side skirt sealing system for belt conveyors that was developed, patented, and manufactured in Germany according to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental protection.

This contactless skirt sealing system acts as a highly efficient side seal and is suspended above the conveyor belt. Thanks to the unique diagonal arrangement of hardened plates, air is directed from outside to the center of the belt, creating an airflow suction. The movement of material and the moving support of the belt increase the suction effect, so fine dust particles remain in the conveyor section. Additionally, coarse materials that are pushed out are redirected back to the center of the belt by the plates, significantly reducing spillage.

The innovative design of AirScrape ®has a threefold positive effect. This conveyor belt sealing system reduces spills and dust generation at transfer points and other critical areas of the conveyor chain. Furthermore, since this skirt sealing system freely hovers above the conveyor belt, belt friction and damage are eliminated, thereby increasing the service life of each conveyor component.

Advantages and benefits

  • This skirt sealing system works effectively for both large and small particles.
  • Dust emissions and explosion hazards are reduced.
  • Belt damage is eliminated due to the lack of contact with the skirt.
  • The hardened steel blades of this conveyor apron system reduce apron wear.
  • Reduced motor power consumption due to the absence of belt friction against the edge
  • Significantly extends service life due to lack of contact with the belt
  • Minimal product losses
  • AirScrape significantly reduces maintenance and replacement costs
  • Easy installation, usually using the existing clamping system
  • This innovative skirting system provides a continuous skirting without gaps.
  • Promotes health and environmental protection
