How AirScrape works
AirScrape ® — is a side skirt sealing system for belt conveyors that was developed, patented and manufactured in Germany in accordance with the highest quality, safety and environmental standards.
This non-contacting conveyor skirt sealing system, which acts as a highly effective side seal, is suspended above the conveyor belt. A unique diagonal arrangement of hardened vanes directs air from the outside into the center of the belt, creating air suction. The movement of the material and the moving belt support enhance the suction effect, ensuring that fine dust particles remain within the conveyor section. Furthermore, coarse materials pushed outward are directed back into the center of the belt by the vanes, significantly reducing spillage.
Innovative AirScrape design ® This conveyor belt sealing system has a triple positive effect. It reduces spills and dust formation at transfer points and other critical sections of the conveyor chain. Furthermore, because this skirt sealing system floats freely above the conveyor belt, skirt friction and belt damage are eliminated, and the service life of every conveyor component is extended.
Advantages and benefits
- This conveyor skirt sealing system works effectively with both large and small particles.
- Reduces dust emissions and explosion hazard
- Damage to the belt is eliminated due to the absence of contact with the skirt
- The hardened steel blades of this conveyor apron system reduce apron wear. .
- Reduced engine power consumption due to the absence of belt friction on the edge
- Significantly extends service life due to the absence of contact with the belt
- Minimal product loss
- AirScrape significantly reduces maintenance and replacement costs
- Easy installation, usually using existing clamping system
- This innovative skirting system provides a continuous skirting board without gaps.
- Promotes health and environmental protection
Comparison of AirScrape® and conventional side sealing
The photo shows the transfer point before and after modification with AirScrape®. In a direct comparison, the effect of AirScrape® is clearly visible. Dust formation and spills are no longer visible.
