Pump elements deliver lubricant to lubrication points or distributors via lubrication lines. Five pump elements for flow rates from 0.8 to 5.0 cm³/min are available in two designs: with a spring-return piston or with a positively driven piston. In many cases, a pump element with a spring-return piston is the right choice. The pump element with a positively driven piston was designed for use in extremely cold conditions (down to -30 °C) or for handling high-viscosity lubricants. Up to three pump elements can be installed in a KFG pump unit. Possible mounting locations are the left, front, and right sides of the pump housing. The lubricant outlet on the pump element has an internal M14x1.5 thread for connecting lubrication lines or valves. If a pump element is not installed, the outlet on the pump housing is closed with a screw.

To prevent excessive operating pressure, a rotary relief valve must be installed in the system. If the operating pressure exceeds the pressure relief valve's operating point, the valve opens, allowing the lubricant to escape. Pressure relief valves are primarily used in progressive systems. Options are available with SKF quick-release couplings, straight connectors, and G 1/4" female threads.

One of the pump's three lubricant outlets can be optionally equipped with a single matching filling nozzle instead of a single pump element for filling the unit using a filling tank (cartridge). The filling tank can also be used to fill the pump unit through one of the lubricant outlets. To do this, specify a filling nozzle in the order code instead of a lubricant outlet.

As an alternative to a cone-head nipple, units for industrial or vehicle applications can also be equipped with a filling port for filling with a filling pump, such as a hand pump with a container. The filling pump must be equipped with a suitable coupling and a hose port.
