Servo, instrumentation and system cables - flexible & highly flexible - for use in drag chains and robotics

This chapter includes servo drives, instrumentation and system cables for electric drive technology for fixed installations, as well as highly flexible cables for use in permanently (highly) moving equipment such as drag chains or robotics.

KAWEFLEX® Servo 2X… EMC cables with double shielding are suitable for fixed installations and occasional use as power, control, and connection cables for drive systems with frequency converters. The cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) core insulation provides the same reliability as the standard polyethylene (PE) version, but thanks to this insulation, it can operate at higher conductor temperatures (2X: maximum conductor temperature 90°C versus 2Y: 70°C for the standard PE version).

Starting from a cross-section of 10 mm², they are available in an optimized design, where the earth wire is distributed between the main cores, which allows for a significant reduction in the diameter and weight of the cable.

The KAWEFLEX® 5 series is also available for flexible use in drag chains as cables for servo drives, feedback, encoders, resolvers, and speed sensors. Signal and system cables for EMC-compliant connections are also available. These cables comply with the standards of Siemens (MC 500, MC800PLUS), Bosch Rexroth, SEW Eurodrive, Lenze, and other compatible systems. Our KINEMATICS® 3D series also withstands high torsional stress in robotic systems.
