Description
The PAK-M DX is a frequency-controlled, high-vacuum dust collector. It is designed to remove combustible dust generated during grinding or sanding (including with tools), as well as granulate, sand, or chips. The PAK-M DX is also suitable for cleaning a workstation, workshop, or production line itself. Typical applications include the construction and manufacturing industries, bakeries, and more. It typically serves from one to five simultaneous aspiration points. Two basic versions are available: the PAK-M DX, equipped with a pressure relief panel to relieve explosion and flame pressure, or the PAK-M DX, equipped with a flameless ventilation system, suitable for indoor use with options suitable for organic or metallic dust, respectively.
The PAK-M DX automatically adjusts motor speed using a variable frequency drive (VFD) and a dP sensor to maintain a constant vacuum, as selected by the user on the control panel. This is ideal for tool-mounted vacuuming and also ensures minimal energy consumption, typically saving 50% or more compared to units without a VFD. The PAK-M DX can also be configured to create the highest possible vacuum for applications with long pipelines, material handling, or cleaning. Automatic vacuum valves provide additional energy savings by controlling the PAK-M DX to provide suction only during operation, but can also be used to increase the number of work points if not all are used simultaneously.
The PAK-M DX is standardly controlled by a variable frequency drive (VFD), but can be upgraded with a separate PLC for expanded control and sensor capabilities. Designed for installation in noise-sensitive environments, the PAK-M DX features effective silencers, an acoustic enclosure, and the use of a VFD to operate at the lowest possible speed necessary to maintain the required suction. The PAK-M DX is available with two filter options: an anti-static polyester filter with a Class M control filter or a high-efficiency PTFE filter with an H14 control filter for increased cleaning efficiency and extended filter life in more demanding operating conditions. Initiating the cleaning cycle opens the filter cleaning valve and creates a powerful reverse airflow, effectively removing dust from the filter bags. Filter cleaning is triggered depending on the amount of dust accumulated in the filter (on demand, with dP control) or, alternatively, by a timer, which ensures a minimum total number of cleaning cycles and thus increases the service life of the filter.
The VAC-M vacuum unit is also sold separately for use with other dust collectors than the standard ones.
- Low operating costs thanks to energy-efficient variable frequency drive (VFD) to maintain desired vacuum levels and 6,000 hour filter life for most typical applications.
- Low installation costs - the unit comes complete with a VFD as a starter, a control unit and a vacuum level adjustment unit - no adjustment required.
- Efficient filter cleaning with differential pressure or timer control minimizes the number of cleaning cycles and extends the filter life.
- Low noise level thanks to the fan installed in a sound-insulating casing.
- Designed for ATEX applications, it features built-in safety features including an emergency stop, a monitored filter that detects primary filter failure, and a monitored relief/venting system that vents the blast wave to a safe area and stops the unit.
