Description
The PAK-M is a frequency-controlled, high-vacuum dust collector. It is designed to remove welding fumes (including from the torch), grinding, sandblasting, and other non-combustible dust (including from tools), as well as to clean a workstation, workshop, or production line itself. Compact enough to fit on a pallet, it is typically used in welding shops, auto repair shops, construction industries, industrial laundries, and other industries, serving one to five simultaneous aspiration points.
The PAK-M automatically adjusts motor speed using a variable frequency drive (VFD) and a dP sensor to maintain a constant vacuum, as selected by the user on the control panel. Ideal for exhausting on a torch or tool, the PAK-M also provides minimal energy consumption, typically saving 50% or more compared to units without a VFD. The PAK-M can also be configured to create the highest possible vacuum for applications with long pipelines, material handling, or cleaning. Automatic vacuum valves provide additional energy savings by controlling the PAK-M to provide suction only during operation, but can also be used to increase the number of work points if not all are used simultaneously.
The PAK-M is standardly controlled by a VFD, but can be upgraded with a separate PLC for expanded control and sensor capabilities. Designed for use in noise-sensitive areas, the PAK-M features effective silencers, an acoustic enclosure, and the use of a VFD to operate at the lowest possible speed necessary to maintain desired suction.
To ensure high filtration efficiency and effective filter cleaning, the PAK-M comes with an ePTFE filter and an optional H14 secondary filter. Activating the cleaning cycle opens the filter cleaning valve and creates a powerful reverse airflow, effectively removing dust from the filter bags. Filter cleaning is triggered based on the amount of dust accumulated in the filter (on demand, with adjustable dP) or by a timer, ensuring a minimum number of cleaning cycles and thus extending the filter's service life.
The VAC-M vacuum and control unit is also sold separately for use in conjunction with another, separate dust separator.
- Low operating costs thanks to energy-efficient variable frequency drive (VFD) to maintain desired vacuum levels and 6,000 hour filter life for most typical applications.
- Low installation costs - the unit comes complete with a VFD as a starter, a control unit, and a vacuum level adjustment unit - no adjustments required.
- Efficient filter cleaning with differential pressure or timer control minimizes the number of cleaning cycles and extends the filter life.
- Low noise level thanks to the fan installed in a sound-insulating casing.
- ISO 219 04 (W3) compliant, high filter efficiency and adjustable vacuum level.
