The P623 M electric-driven pumps were designed to withstand electromagnetic pulses (EMPs) from lightning strikes. The P623 M is an updated version of the P603 series pumps and is intended for sequential automatic lubrication systems.

Working closely with customers to develop products tailored to their specific needs, SKF developed the P623 M pump for marine and offshore wind applications. These pumps are also suitable for applications in construction, mining, and renewable energy where lightning protection is required. P623 M pumps are equipped with power supplies that convert 230 V to 24 V (control) with overvoltage protection, allowing for discharge of 8 kV (electrical ground). Pumps are available with a clamping plate for use in rotating applications or with a stirrer for stationary applications.
