A reusable grease collection cartridge simplifies the removal of excess grease from bearings during maintenance. The cartridge is secured with screws to an adapter mounted directly on the bearing. The obvious advantage is that the cartridge is completely filled. The incoming grease moves a piston within the cartridge. This piston stops when the grease flow stops and the cartridge is full. This prevents overfilling of the cartridge and grease leakage. After removing the cartridge, the grease is removed by pressing the piston. Removing the cartridge and reinserting it for future use are easy.
