Minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) units with internal and external lubricant supply

The required aerosol quality is manually adjusted in the SKF LubriLean Vario system by setting the air pressure and lubricant quantity. The aerosol can be delivered through pipelines up to 20 meters long.

Aerosol production continues during tool changes. While the tool is being changed, the required amount of new aerosol is produced. The aerosol is delivered through a 3/2-way ball valve. This allows a new portion to be prepared when processing resumes.

The aerosol produced during tool change can be directed directly into the exhaust system or, if the system is additionally equipped with an auxiliary tank, to a mixture separation device.

The AM1000 aerosol monitor monitors the aerosol flow in the LubriLean system. It is preferably positioned in the aerosol path before the treatment zone. The number of oil droplets in a given volume is counted using optical measurement. The analog value can be transmitted for evaluation, for example, to the machine control system via a standard 4-20 mA interface. Aerosol for minimum-volume lubrication systems.
The standard droplet diameter is 0.5–5 µm.
