LGEP 1 - Extreme Pressure Grease

Categories: ,

Description

SKF LGEP 1 is a high-viscosity, low-consistency mineral oil-based grease with a lithium-calcium thickener. Ideal for lubricating large bearings operating under heavy loads and low speeds, LGEP 1 was developed to extend maintenance intervals and minimize downtime.

Features and Benefits

  • Excellent mechanical stability
  • Very good protection against abrasion and wear
  • Good fluidity at low initial temperature
  • Good flow properties allow easy replenishment of grease in the bearing structure.
  • Low friction characteristics help maintain low operating temperatures
  • Excellent water resistance and corrosion protection
  • Good pumpability

Typical applications

  • Wind turbine main shaft bearings
  • Large bearing applications
  • Heavy industry
  • Centralized lubrication systems
