B-Flap explosion-proof flap valve

Explosion-proof valve B-Flap I - protection system

Description

The flow actuated flapper valve type B-Flap I is designed as an explosion pressure resistant equipment which is capable of

prevent the transmission of hazardous consequences of the blast pressure wave and flame front to areas located upstream. Product

developed in accordance with European Directive 2014/34/EU and certified according to EN 16447 and EN 15089 standards.

B-Flap I can be used in PULL systems according to EN 16447 and PULL/PUSH or in reverse flow systems according to EN 15089.

Description:

Welded carbon steel construction with RAL 3000 coating. Stainless steel without surface finish only on special request.

Function:

In the event of an explosion in downstream equipment (such as a dust collector), the pressure wave forces the damper to close and lock in place. When closed, the damper creates an effective barrier against the approaching flame front. This prevents the explosion from spreading to upstream work areas.

  • Internal valve, zones 20 or 2.
  • External valve, zones 21, 22, no zone.
