Fire safety on the road

POSSIBLE PREREQUISITES FOR FIRES:

  • Extreme working conditions
  • Contamination of units with hot lubricants
  • Accumulation of easily corroded materials and contaminants in the engine compartment associated with operation

CONSEQUENCES OF FIRES:

  • Major repairs of equipment, and sometimes even the complete loss of a business unit
  • Long periods of equipment downtime
  • Injuries and even human casualties
  • Leasing risks

HOW TO PROTECT EQUIPMENT AND STAFF FROM FIRE?

Keep the engine compartment and other areas that pose a potential fire hazard clean.

Conduct timely maintenance of the vehicle.

Install a DAFO fire extinguishing system in the engine and other compartments.

Conduct timely maintenance of the fire extinguishing system.

When the temperature rises, a fire may break out in the protected space. The linear detection wire (detector) (8) responds to the fire and transmits a signal to the control unit (4). The control unit (4) then transmits a signal to the pyropatron (9), which activates the trigger (3) on the nitrogen cylinder (2). At the same time, the alarm indicator light on the control panel (5) lights up, and the sound (7) and light (6) signals are triggered. Gas from the nitrogen cylinder (2) is fed into the FORREX fire extinguishing agent container (1), activating the piston, which pushes the extinguishing agent into the distribution pipeline (10) and then sprays it through the nozzles (11), covering the protected surfaces and space.

DAFO FORREX SV-K FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM

ADVANTAGES:
• Three types of start: manual, automatic, mechanical
• Efficient fine atomization of liquid
at an air flow of up to 25 m/s:
— at a distance of up to 1.2 m
- spray angle 100 degrees
• The system operating temperature range is from -50⁰ to +60⁰ C.
• Installation of tanks at an angle from 0⁰ to 180⁰ C.
• For 1 tank up to 16 nozzles.
• Works in any position of the equipment.
• Compact components.
IMPORTANT:
• Autonomous. Direct connection to the battery.
• False alarms are eliminated.
• In the absence of fires, spontaneous activation is excluded.
• Guarantee.
• DAFO Forrex SV-K – for extinguishing class A and B fires
with electrical safety approval up to 1000 V.
• DAFO PFK – for extinguishing class E fires.
• System response time is instantaneous (1 second).
• Possibility of setting the start delay to 7 or 15 seconds.
• No pressure before or after activation.
• Self-diagnostic in the system: linear detection wire,
actuator, power supply element in the control unit.

DAFO FORREX SV-K FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM

DAFO automatic fire suppression systems are designed to quickly and effectively extinguish fires in engine compartments, electrical cabinets, or other equipment compartments, minimizing damage from both fire exposure and the consequences of fire suppression. Both manual and automatic activation are available.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
— when the critical temperature level in the engine compartment (fire source) rises, the sensors send a signal to the cabin;
— after the system is triggered, FORREX fire extinguishing liquid is supplied to the protected compartment through the distribution pipeline and nozzle system;
— the properties of the FORREX fire extinguishing agent allow the source of ignition to be eliminated and a protective film to be formed on surfaces, which reduces the risk of re-ignition;
— after the fire has been extinguished, the system can be restored to working order on site;
— after a preventive inspection and required maintenance, you can continue to operate the equipment.
MAIN SYSTEM UNITS:
— a tank with FORREX liquid and a nitrogen cylinder;
— panel/control unit;
— linear detection wire (detector);
- distribution pipeline with nozzles

DAFO PFK Fire Extinguishing System

PFK – gas fire extinguishing system.

Designed to localize and extinguish Class E fires. Spray elements are installed in compartments containing high-voltage equipment. The extinguishing process is based on rapid flame slowing and oxygen displacement.

The gas fire extinguishing system is supplied in modifications that differ in the volume of extinguishing agent.
