169-460-… Oil filters according to DIN 24550

For circulating oil lubrication systems

Series 169-460 pressure filters are standard oil filters according to DIN 24550. They feature a modular design and consist of a housing with a cover, a filter element, and a threaded plug.

A clogging indicator can be optionally supplied in place of the threaded plug. Pressure filters are used as in-line filters in oil circulating lubrication systems to separate solid contaminants from the working fluids. Two types of filter elements are available: fiberglass cloth (disposable inorganic fiber elements for absolute filtration) or wire mesh (nominal filtration). The clogging indicator evaluates the condition of the filter element and signals the need for replacement.

Technical characteristics and advantages

  • Prevents system and component failure, extends system life by significantly reducing particulate matter levels
  • Economy, reliability, ease of maintenance
  • Compact modular design, installation directly into pipelines
  • Wide range of flow rates and filtration levels
  • Optimized maintenance procedure consisting only of replacing filter elements
  • Optionally, filter element contamination control is available.

Application areas

  • Circulating oil lubrication systems
  • General mechanical engineering and industrial technologies
  • Shipbuilding and offshore industry
  • Pulp and paper industry
  • Heavy industry
